(Hey, getting up at 7:30 to work out was early for me!)
- VH1 seems to have become all romantics, all the time. It seemed like every other video had a piano and a beach. (And yes, there were actual videos, because it was VH1 Jump Start, which I used to work out to way back in Rural Utopia when we had a basement and a TV and a treadmill down there.)
- Justin Timberlake's "Bringin' Sexy Back" has a good beat for exercise. I think it's a pretty sorry excuse for a song, but it's fun to workout to. Of course, maybe that was in contrast to all the piano music.
- About 3/4 of the way through my workout (for which I had the fitness room to myself, yay!), an old guy came in. He seemed to be doing the guy thing of re-wearing workout clothes over and over again, and - ewwwww! - he took off his shoes and worked out barefoot! Talk about being squicked out. Now, I walk around barefoot a lot, including my office at school on occasion (which some people find gross), but the fitness room? Where untold numbers of strangers have been sweating? Ew, ew, ew!
I think it's gross enough that people walk around the locker room barefoot. The actual fitness room? BARF!

Good for you!
Ewwwwww on the guy working out barefoot. I take my shoes off in my office when I'm sitting at my desk, but the minute I get up to go someone I put on the shoes.

Good for you! A 7:30 workout would be early for me, too!

I can't claim to actually work out -- I still haven't gotten off my duff to find a new yoga place -- but I do my 50 situps and 30 pushups every morning right after getting up, which 3 mornings a week means 5:30 am. Ugh. OTOH, then I get to feel virtuous for a little while, which makes it almost worth it.

I will work out tomorrow morning before school. I will. I will.

One of my Profs takes his shoes off while he lecutres, sometimes I don't even think he knows he does it.

"squicked"? What a great word...I agree completely with your comments about being barefoot in the workout room. Ugh.
