Mantras

  • I wake to sleep, and take my waking slow.
I feel my fate in what I cannot fear.
I learn by going where I have to go.
    --Theodore Roethke
  • Freedom is what you do with what's been done to you.
    -- Jean-Paul Sartre
  • I'm Nobody! Who are you?
    Are you—Nobody—Too?
Then there's a pair of us!
    Don't tell! they'd advertise—you know!

    How dreary—to be—Somebody!
    How public—like a Frog—
To tell one's name—the livelong June—
    To an admiring Bog!
    --Emily Dickinson

Yeah, it's a little too costume-like for my taste. Or, I should say my taste now -- my high school self would have *loved* it because it has a 1960s/Nehru jacket/cover of Sergeant Pepper quality to it and in the 80s, I was digging on the 60s (yeah, I was the only one...well, plus Steven Sprouse, who kept going bankrupt).

Dungeons and dragons anyone? I think I might still have my dice...
