The fun? interesting? weird? part of moving is finding all sorts of stuff you'd forgotten you owned.
I've found a bunch of photographs - actual PRINTED photographs, on PAPER. Some of them with NEGATIVES and everything! Some of these go back to college (which was way too long ago to specify how long ago it was). They're a total hoot to look at, and I don't want to get rid of them at all, but I have to admit that in this digital age, I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with them - they take up space and collect dust. (I know, I know, I could scan them and save them to the computer. But that's way more work than sticking them back in a box and moving the box again.)
Also, I've realized that I have a GAZILLION blank journals (most with the first 2-3 pages written in). I used to keep a journal religiously, so much so that in storage I have a banker's box full of old journals going back to about fourth grade. In recent years, I've stopped doing that so much (partly due to blogging, and partly because I used to sit and write in bed before going to sleep, which got less convenient after getting married; I usually go to bed after NLLDH, so can't have the light on, and I hate someone watching me write anything anyway). But my mom didn't know I'd stopped keeping a journal, and until quite recently has had a habit of giving me blank books at Christmas (most of these journals start with a description of that year's Christmas). So I have a TON of the things. Some of them are really nice! I gotta start writing in them again. It will give me an excuse to use my lovely fountain pens again, too!
Of course, I've also discovered a ton of dust. I can't decide if I've had a cold since graduation, or if it's just all the dust I've raised in this (not regularly dusted) apartment.
Okay, back to the sorting and packing and crap.

Good luck with the packing. The only way I've found to use up journals as a busy adult is to write in the morning, but it's still a lot easier to do it with a keyboard than with a pen and paper!
