I have actually quite been wanting to post here for a while - I've been thinking about bullying, and blog-life years - but I had this brief to write, you see, for an actual real client of my own (which has also inspired potential blog fodder). But, being a student after all, I don't really know what I'm doing, so (of course) underestimated how much time this would all take. And so I have literally spent about 35 hours since last Wednesday writing.
Hence, the brains leaking out my ears.
But I had to take a moment to laud the lovely maintenance man for our building. Our bathtub drain was clogged, so we were standing in dirty water up to our ankles when we showered. As you can imagine, the tub was pretty filthy. I mean, it was DISGUSTING. But there wasn't much point in trying to clean it when nothing was going down the drain.
But the maintenance guy came today and snaked the drain, hooray! Which is lovely and all.
But he didn't stop there - HE CLEANED OUR TUB.
Seriously. Like, it SPARKLES.
Now, I'm sure snaking it brought up all kinds of crud, so he was probably clearing that out. But honestly, that tub was NASTY, and there was nothing requiring him to do anything beyond clearing up the stuff he dredged up.
But I have a sparkling tub anyway, which I totally don't deserve. So thank you, snake-wielding maintenance guy, for being so conscientious and kind, and making my day just that much brighter.
On which note, I will try to scoop up my brains and hope they grow back into place while I sleep.

So, did you bill for those 35 hours, counselor? :)

hell yes! (of course, we're actually required to bill our clinic hours, so... I finished almost half my semester requirements!)
