So, I wrote this one article, and it's fairly decent, and it got placed in a really good essay collection, so it's actually been cited in a number of places.
And that was pretty cool, and all, but in my latest vanity-Google I found something even cooler:
Someone's assigned it for a class.

Jansen, I didn't even realize it actually WAS a word in German! (and from what I can tell that's probably not what I meant to say...). I think it's actually Yiddish, but it comes from this. (Wow, I'm old...)
And thanks, everyone! It did feel nice. But maybe more significantly, nice in a non-sadness, non-nostalgia-inducing way (like, it was awfully nice to see, but I don't miss being part of that).
