To inform you that freaking out about final exams has commenced. Said freaking out looks likely to persist for the immediate future. Quality of posting is likely to drop precipitously for the foreseeable future.
Carry on.
(By the way, once you enter law school? You learn to like the word "foreseeable" a whole lot less.)

As a cat parent myself, I am so sorry about your loss. I am not sure if you're heard of Rainbow Bridge, but you can make your own memorial to your beloved pet. http://www.rainbowsbridge.com/
Take care, Lawgirl

I am so sorry for your loss. Our furry friends bring so much to our lives and are so terribly missed when they are gone.
I do think there is some comfort, though, in knowing they are no longer in pain or suffering.
My thoughts are with you.

I'm so sorry about Pekoe. I certainly understand your attachment - my little Molly is what makes my house a home.
And, when you are ready, there are lots of little kittens and cats at area shelters and humane societies just waiting to come home with you.
I hope this might help: http://www.petloss.com/poems/maingrp/rainbowb.htm

I'm so sorry! That's how my cat was before I had to make that decision, and it was really difficult. I don't think you're too invested in your pets - they are part of the family.

Thank you, everyone! I really appreciate the sentiments - it means a lot to me, and to NLLDH, to know that there are others out there who see their kitties as such important parts of our lives.
(I've kind of fallen off the NaBloPoMo wagon, so thought I should comment here!)
